List of ingredients
1 pound of ground turkey or ground beef
1/3 cup of breadcrumbs or oatmeal can be used in this recipe. I prefer using oatmeal now.
1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 can of tomato sauce (8 ounces) (Instead of using tomato sauce, I usually replace it with about 1/4 cup of ketchup in the meat mixture and another 1/4 cup on top.) Choosing between using ketchup or tomato sauce is a matter of personal preference. I like the taste of ketchup more because of the sugar in it.
1/2 teaspoon of powdered garlic
Seasoning with salt and pepper.
a few drops of Worcestershire sauce (around a teaspoon)
A few handfuls of any other vegetables you have available... (onions, mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli, carrots, spinach, lentils...) This list includes vegetables like onions, mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli, carrots, spinach, and lentils.
