Easy Frozen Oreo Dessert

Frozen Oreos Melt in your mouth Delicious and incredibly easy to prepare, this Oreo dessert is a must-have for a summertime treat!

Two weeks ago I was in charge of a dinner for the young men/women in our suite. We also invited some of the older couples into the suite so the guys could get to know it. So we were planning to attend about a hundred people. (Yes, I was more like a basket case that week.)

We had the Rio Pork Burritos for dinner, because I knew they catered to a big crowd. I wanted a dessert that was easy to make for a large crowd, but that went beyond the brownies with ice cream that are usually served.

I came up with a mint ice cream pie, but I didn't want to make 10 pies. (Who has that many pie pans?)

I came up with this frozen Oreo dessert, and let me tell you, it was a huge hit. So many people asked for the recipe which I decided to better share here.

It's embarrassingly easy. But it is really amazingly delicious! Since I was feeding a large crowd, I actually doubled the recipe and made it into large jelly roll pots. Worked great!

* Ingredients :

° 1/4 cup melted butter
° 1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreos, finely crushed (I used my food processor)
° 1/2 gallon ice cream
° 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce

* Instructions :

Combine melted butter and Oreo crumbs in a small bowl until well blended.

Squeeze just over half of the crumbs into a 9 x 13 skillet. Put it in the freezer.

Removing ice cream from freezer & leave it supple. I stirred mine about every 5 minutes until it was spreadable.

Spread the softened ice cream over the frozen crust. Sprinkle the remaining crumbs on top. Covering also freezing for several hours .

Take it out of the freezer 10-15 minutes before serving. Sprinkling every section with warm fudge sauce.

Enjoy !
