  • 1/2 cup water or beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a Mexican blend)
  • 1 can (15 oz) refried beans (optional, for added texture and flavor)

For Assembly:

  • Guacamole or sliced avocado
  • Salsa or pico de gallo
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Extra shredded cheese

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Cook the Beef Filling

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Stir in the diced onion and cook for 3–4 minutes , until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds , until fragrant.
  3. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the beef mixture and add the water or broth. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes , until the liquid thickens and coats the beef. Remove from heat.
