Cinnamon Roll Poke Cake


Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 box (15–16 oz) white or yellow cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box: eggs, oil, water)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the Sweet Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup butter , melted
  • 1/4 cup milk (whole milk or any milk of choice)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) . Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2: Bake the Cake

  1. Prepare the cake batter according to the package instructions.
  2. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  3. Bake for 28–32 minutes , or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Let the cake cool for 10–15 minutes while you prepare the cinnamon topping.

Step 3: Make the Cinnamon Topping

  1. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter , brown sugar , and cinnamon until well combined.
