A 17-year-old cheerleader named Emily Gold, who appeared on the show 'America's Got Talent,' has died by suicide a few weeks after her performance.

 

Her teammates saw her as a leader and someone to look up to.Gold and her group recently performed on America’s Got Talent, reaching the quarterfinals but then getting eliminated. Judge Simon Cowell stood up and clapped for the team, saying their performance was "really great." He complimented the group for their enthusiasm and mentioned that it reminded him of the movie High School Musical. Friends and family have honored Gold, with one person saying, "We will miss her very much." May she rest in peace. The San Bernardino Coroner's Office stated that Gold took his own life.
