1 tablespoon of ground turmeric
1 tablespoon of coconut oil or olive oil
Pumice stone or foot scrubber
Bandage or soft cloth (if needed)
Directions:
Make the Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the turmeric powder with the coconut oil until it becomes a thick paste. Coconut oil is selected for its ability to keep the skin hydrated and help it absorb the beneficial elements of turmeric.
Soak your feet in warm water for about 10 minutes before using the turmeric mixture to soften the rough skin. This helps the treatment to enter the thickened skin more easily.
Put on the turmeric and coconut oil paste on the rough areas of your feet using a cotton ball or your fingers. Be sure to completely cover the entire hard skin with a thick layer of the mixture.
Cover the treated areas with a bandage or gauze to keep the paste in place for better results. Keep it on for a minimum of 30 minutes. You can also leave it on all night for better absorption.
Exfoliate: Once you have let the turmeric paste sit, softly rub the rough areas with a pumice stone or foot file to get rid of the softened skin. Be careful to not harm the good skin underneath.
Wash your feet with warm water to remove the turmeric paste and then dry them. Use a quality lotion to keep your feet smooth and moisturized.
