Cake made by Grandma


 

1 cup of evaporated milk

1/2 cup of sugar

1/2 cup, which is equivalent to 1 stick. butter without salt

1 small spoon of vanilla

How to Make a Cake Like Grandma Used to Make

Heat the oven to 350º F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

In a big bowl, mix sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt. Then, add eggs and pineapple and mix well.


Pour the batter into the pan and sprinkle an even layer of pecans and brown sugar on top.

Put the baking dish in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.


While the cake is baking, mix evaporated milk, sugar, and butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat until it boils.

Take off the heat and mix in vanilla extract. Then, pour the mixture over the hot cake.

Let the cake cool down so it can soak up the icing. After that, cut it, serve it, and enjoy.
