The traditional appetizer is banana peels cooked in oil, which is delicious.
An added bonus is that you may prepare some delicious marinated and fried banana peels (a novel beginning). With only two banana peels, you can make enough meals for four people. Cut them in half lengthwise, then into strips. Finally, marinate them in a combination of apple cider vinegar, paprika, soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cumin for at least twenty minutes.

They are fried in hot oil as soon as the designated period of time has passed, and they are only removed from the oil after they have become golden.

They make a fantastic appetizer, therefore it's strongly recommended that you offer them to guests who are around for lunch or supper. There are so many dishes that include banana peel that it would be a shame to skip any of them.
