You can say goodbye to bad smells in the bathroom with just a bay leaf.

bay leaves in the bathroom

The first thing to do is to take one bay leaf at a time and with a lit match lightly burn its tip so that it starts to give off a faint trail of smoke. Then place it in correspondence with the drain hole of the sink or toilet, so that the aroma emanating from the leaf enters it.

In doing so, the bad smells coming from the pipes will be counteracted by the intense smell of the bay leaf, which will neutralise them completely in a short time. At the end of the process, do not flush the burnt leaf residues down the drain, but throw them away.

If the unpleasant odours persist, you can repeat the procedure a second time. Or it could be a more serious problem, which requires the intervention of a specialist.
