No Bake Homemade Crunch Bars

 


Ingredients:


3 cups crispy rice cereal

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

1 cup peanut butter (or any nut/seed butter of your choice)

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup coconut oil (or grass-fed butter as a substitute)

Instructions:


Preparation: Begin by lining an 8 x 8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.


Cereal: Place the crispy rice cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside.


Melting Ingredients: In a microwave-safe bowl (or using a saucepan on the stovetop), combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil. Heat until the chocolate chips have melted.


Mix: Whisk the mixture until it becomes silky and smooth. Then, pour it over the crispy rice cereal. Ensure that the cereal is evenly coated with the chocolate mixture.


Set: Transfer the chocolate-coated cereal into the prepared baking dish. Spread it evenly and refrigerate for at least an hour, or until it firms up.


Serve: Once set, remove from the fridge and cut into bars.
