Stuffed pepper soup

 


*ingredients

Half kilo Italian sausage
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion finely chopped
1 green bell pepper, finely chop
1 finely chop bell pepper
3 crush garlic cloves
4 c low sodium beef broth
2 c low sodium chicken or vegetable broth
1 can (14.5 oz) tomato sauce
3/4 cup raw rice (I using jasmine)
Kosher salt and black pepper

*How to make :

In a saucepan or casserole plate on medium heat, brown the Italian sausage also ground beef; Break up as you go.

Halfway through cooking, adding onions also peppers. stirring several times. During  last minute of browning, reduce the heat to medium-low and add the minced garlic, stir constantly. Drain excess fat.

Adding beef broth, chicken broth also tomatoes to the sauce and bring to a boil. Simmer 15 min .

Adding the rice and cover well. Cover and cook for 5 to 7 min or until the rice is tender. For great results, apply quickly. Seasoning with kosher salt also ground black pepper, to taste.
