Cabbage Roll Casserole

½ large cabbage, chopped
1 lb ground beef
½ cup uncooked rice
½ large onion, chopped
15 oz can of tomato sauce
15 oz beef broth
2 tsp minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In a skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until brown. Introduce the minced garlic into the meat during the last 30 seconds of cooking. Drain off any surplus fat.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped cabbage, onion, uncooked rice, tomato sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Mix the cooked ground beef into this cabbage concoction.

Pour the cabbage and meat mixture into a 9x9 baking dish, ensuring it's evenly spread.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and slide it into the preheated oven. Bake for 1 hour.

After the hour has passed, remove the dish, stir the mixture, and cover it again. Bake for another 15-30 minutes, or until the cabbage is soft and the rice is fully cooked.
