A delicious beef recipe cooked in tomato sauce with potatoes and olives. Simple dish, easy to prepare and complete. Serve hot with a good drizzle of olive oil, sprinkled with parsley or cilantro, and simply with bread to dip in the sauce.
Today I offer you this recipe, which I especially like.
Because it's so simple, delicious and you can make endless variations! And to top it all off, it's a complete dish cooked in a single cooking pot (a casserole dish or a large skillet with a high rim).
Let's see what you can change:
- the meat
- vegetables
Aromatics (spices and aromatic herbs)
The basic recipe I make is the first meat in tomato sauce. To be eaten with bread or with vegetables such as steamed or mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, pasta, rice ...
Meat: It can be beef, veal, lamb, chicken, or even fish and seafood, and it can be chops or meatballs.
And from this very simple basic recipe, if you want to make a whole dish in the same casserole or pan with a high rim, you add, in addition to the meat, one or more vegetables.
Like potatoes here. Other times, I put in carrots, green beans, beans, peas, kale, celery, chard, artichoke hearts, fennel,… what have you!
