Turkey Pocket Sandwich


* List of ingredients:

°1/4 medium red onion, chopped.
°1 medium red capsicum, chopped.
°1 tablespoon of olive oil.
°1 pound of ground turkey meat.
°1 teaspoon of paprika.
°1 teaspoon cumin.
°1/2 teaspoon of coriander.
°1/2 teaspoon turmeric.
°1 teaspoon of salt.
°1 teaspoon of pepper.
°2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
+for tzatziki sauce; I used:
°3/4 c plain Greek yogurt.
°2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
°1/2 teaspoon minced garlic.
°1/2 teaspoon salt.
°1/2 teaspoon pepper.
°2 tsp chopped fresh dill.
°1-2 teaspoons of white wine vinegar.
+Pita sandwiches:
°4 medium size whole wheat rice bread.
°2 cups of chopped spinach.
°1 small clip option.
°1 to 2 cups of chopped grape tomatoes.
°1/4 cup feta cheese.


Step 1:
Sautée chop red onion and bell pepper in olive oil for five to seven mn when heat is set to medium-high.
Step 2:
Continue frying, adding more oil only if needed after adding the ground turkey.
Step 3:
Now put the spices (paprika, cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, pepper). Cook should continue for another seven to 10 mn.
The fourth step:
Cook for another 6-8 minutes after adding the lemon juice (or until the ground turkey is completely cooked through). Take the pan off the heat.
Fifth step:
While the turkey is cooking, combine all of the tzatziki sauce ingredients in a bowl using a whisk. Put aside.
Sixth step:
Placing some cooked turkey, chop spinach, diced cucumber, diced tomato, & crumbled feta cheese in the middle of every pita half.
Seventh step:
Then, finish it off with a generous dollop tzatziki sauce and savor it.
