Garlic Steak & Potato Foil Packs πŸ˜‹

*Ingredients

°1 ½ pounds sirloin steak is my favorite cut here
°1 pound baby potatoes cut to ½-inch piece
°1 onion peeled, halved then thinly sliced
°1 tablespoon olive oil
°2 tsp fresh parsley
°1 tbsp minced garlic or more to taste
°1 tsp Italian seasoning
°salt also pepper to taste
°2 tablespoons of butter in cubes

*Methods :

Boilling potatoes :
Put the potatoes cut into slices in a pan of boiling salted water and cook for 5 minutes. Drain direclty and place in a bowl. Let stand to cool enough to handle, for 10 mn.
Make the papillotes:
Prepare the steak: Cut the steak into pieces (2.5 to 3 inches for well done, 3 to 4 inches for a medium steak, 5 inches for a rare steak). Marinate it if you wish.
Combine Ingredients: Place steak, potatoes, onion, olive oil, parsley, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper in a large bowl and mix well.
Assemble foil packets: Lay out 4 pieces of foil at least 12 x 12 inches. Divide the steak and potatoes evenly between the middle of the foil sheets. Top with butter cubes, then fold foil over steak and potatoes and seal well.
Cook the papillotes:
On the grill/heat: On a HOT grill, cook the papillotes for 8 to 10 minutes on each side, or until the potatoes are tender (the exact cooking time may vary depending on the type of foil).   aluminum used, exact oven temperature, size of steak, etc.! I recommend an oven thermometer to check the steak after about 10 minutes to gauge how long it will take!)
If you're cooking the packets over an open fire, place them on a 2-inch bed of charcoal.
Bake: Bake foil pouches at 425°F for approximately 20 minutes, or until cooked to your liking (exact cooking time may vary depending on type of foil used, exact oven temperature, size of steak, etc.!   I recommend an oven thermometer to check the steak after about 15 minutes to gauge how long it will take!). If you want char on steaks, open the packets and grill for 1-2 minutes at the end.
Be careful when opening packets - hot steam and juice ahead!
Enjoy !
