Mini Cherry Cheese Danish

Nothing says glad holiday such as a Christmas tree shaped treat, & this little crescent-shaped Danes split will be your new favorite. Each pastry is filled with an almond cream cheese mixture and a scoop of cherry pie filling, then arranged in a tree shape before baking—no hard dough rolls required !

* Ingredients :

+ Danish & stuffing

° 1 1 can (8 oz) Refrigerated Pillsbury™️ Original Rolls Crescent (8 count) or 1 (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™️ Original Crescent Dough Sheet
° 2 1 ounce (from an 8-ounce package) soft cream cheese
° 1/4 powdered sugar cup
° 1/8 1 teaspoon of almond extract
° 1/4 1 cup canned cherry pie filling (from a 21-ounce can)
+ Topping
° 1/4 powdered sugar cup
° 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons milk

* Steps

1
Heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a large butter paper in cooking paper. Remove the dough from the can. Do not open. Using a serrated knife, we cut the dough into 11 rounds.

2
Using the photo as a guide, arrange the tree-shaped dough on the cookie sheet, spaced slightly apart, ending with one round for the base. Gently tap the middle of each round to create a hole for the topping.

3
In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, 1/4 cup icing sugar, and almond extract with a spoon until well combined. Place a round spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each dough round, spreading slightly. Put a cherry on top of each. Bake for 16 to 19 minutes or until golden brown and dough is baked.

4
In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon milk, adding more as necessary to get desired drizzle consistency. Sprinkle it over the crescent tree, and serve warm.

Enjoy !
