Many of you know I love a clean home and am
always looking for more information on the best way to do it. I've always
cleaned my toilets with vinegar but recently while doing research I discovered
there was a better germ killer and cleaning method that I wanted to share.
The magic ingredient is hydrogen peroxide
and should be no more than 3% which is usually the kind you can get at any
regular store. Hydrogen peroxide contains anti-microbial ingredients and is
biodegradable. Put the hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle.
The first thing you want to do is spray the
inside of your toilet with hydrogen peroxide. Make sure to get up from under
the lip of the toilet.
Pour about 1/2 to 1 cup into your toilet
bowl and let it soak.
Pull out the tank cap and pour 1 / 2-1 cup
into it as well.

Usually, flushing from top to bottom is the
best arrangement for flushing the toilet. You can use paper towels, or if you
want to be more environmentally friendly, you can use an old rag that you will
wash appropriately to disinfect it.
Spray the toilet tank cap and wipe it off.
Next, spray and wipe the tank, making sure the handle is well cleaned.

If you can, remove the toilet seat. We have

If you cannot remove the toilet cover,
simply lift it up and proceed to the next step.

Use the toilet cleaner brush of your choice
and scrub the bowl. Make sure to rub it well under the lips. Flush the toilet
you finished with this step.

If the toilet seat falls off, spray the top
of the toilet and wipe.

Replace the toilet seat.

* If your lid does not separate, you can
now clean the top of the toilet base.

Spray and wipe the bottom of the toilet.
There are a lot of nooks and crannies here so make sure you get them all. Remove
the small cap that hides the screws that secure your toilet seat and clean that
area as well. Clean the cap before returning to its place.
