With the arrival of hot weather and sun, we also have to deal with some of the not-so-nice parts of summer: flies, mosquitoes, and tiny flying insects. If you have plants in pots at home, you might have seen small black flies around them. These tiny bugs called fungus gnats like to hang around the soil of your indoor plants and near any old leaves or plant debris. Luckily, there are easy and effective ways to get rid of gnats.
Even though gnats usually don't bite, just having them around is annoying. Gnats like potted plants and are also drawn to food scraps in your sink, fruit, and near trash cans. Here are some simple ways to remove them:
