4 potatoes of medium size, washed and cut into thin slices.

1 onion cut into thin slices

2 pieces of garlic, finely chopped

2 tablespoons of olive oil

1 teaspoon of dried thyme

1 teaspoon of dried rosemary

Add salt and pepper as desired.

You can choose to add grated cheese, chopped bacon, or chopped herbs.

GUIDELINES:

Get your grill or oven ready at a medium-high temperature.

In a big bowl, mix together the thinly cut potatoes, onion slices, minced garlic, olive oil, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well until the potatoes and onions are completely covered with the oil and seasonings.

Cut four big pieces of aluminum foil, each around 12 inches long. Put some of the potato mixture in the middle of each piece of foil, making sure to divide it evenly.

Wrap the foil around the potatoes to make a packet. Make sure to close the edges tightly to avoid any liquid from coming out while cooking.

Put the wrapped packets directly on the grill or on a baking sheet if using the oven.

Cook the wrapped packets for around 20-25 minutes on the grill or 30-35 minutes in the oven, or until the potatoes are soft and fully cooked. You can gently open one package to see if it is cooked.

After the potatoes are done cooking, gently unwrap the foil packets (be cautious of the steam) and move the food to a serving plate.

If you want, you can add grated cheese, chopped bacon, or fresh herbs on top of the potatoes to give them more flavor.
