Soft Butter Cake

Among the many sourdough waste recipes available online, this Sourdough Lemon Cake is sure to be a hit with you.

This cake, which combines elements of both dessert and fast bread, strikes the ideal balance between sweet glaze and tart lemon. Any time of day is excellent for this delicious and savory cake made from that wasted sourdough starter.
Recipe Items 

Half a cup of vegetable oil (or melted butter) is needed for the cake.
30 grams of granulated sugar
two eggs
1/17 cup of flour and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
one-fourth teaspoon of salt
fresh lemon zest, measuring 1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon of lemon juice that is fresh
1/4 cup of sourdough starter, discarded
Regarding the Finishing Touch
1/3 cup of powdered sugar
Lime zest (2 teaspoons) and juice (2 tablespoons) from 2 lemons

Get ready. Set oven rack to middle position and preheat to 350 degrees.  Coat a 9-by-9-inch square cake pan or loaf pan with cooking spray.
