The meal was a huge hit with my husband, who gave it a perfect score. Recommends that I leave everything as is.

The recipe calls for six big potatoes, thinly sliced, and one package of cream of onion soup from Lipton.
One cup of shredded cheddar cheese, if desired; one-third cup of melted butter
- Half a cup of water or chicken broth
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Grease with cooking spray or butter.
Instructions:
1. Coat the interior of your slow cooker with cooking spray or butter to avoid sticking.
2. If you want to, wash and peel the potatoes. Make sure they are uniformly thick before slicing them thinly so they cook evenly.
3. Coat each piece of thinly sliced potatoes with the melted butter in a large mixing basin. Add the Lipton Onion Soup mix and toss the potatoes to coat them evenly with the seasonings.
4. If using cheese is your preference, stir in the shredded cheddar with the potato mixture at this stage.
Before adding the seasoned potatoes to the slow cooker, carefully stack them and cover with half a cup of chicken stock or water. As the slow cooker does its magic, the liquid will steam the potatoes until they are soft.
6. Cook covered for 5 to 6 hours on low heat or 2 to 3 hours on high heat. Your slow cooker and the thickness of your potato slices will determine the cooking time.
7. After the potatoes are cooked until they are soft, give them a taste and add more salt and pepper if needed.
