Homemade Apple Pie Filling πŸ˜‹


°5 apples
°1 ea. sugar
°1/4 tsp. cornstarch
°1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
°1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
°1/2 tsp. the water
°3/4 tsp. apple juice or apple cider
°2 tablespoons lemon juice


Peel, peel and slice the apples. Place in boiling water for 1 minute. Set aside and keep warm. Boil remaining ingredients to desired thickness. Barely let it come to a full boil. Fill hot sterilized jars alternating apples and syrup until almost full. Run a knife sideways to remove air bubbles. Add more apples and syrup. “Treat in a boiling water bath. Put the jars in a water bath or tray that allows you to put water on the jars about 1 inch. Boil for 25 minutes”.
