°1 cup of sugar
°½ cup cocoa powder
°1 cup all-purpose flour
°2 teaspoons of yeast
°¼ tsp salt
°½ cup of milk
°4 tablespoons butter, melted
°1 large egg yolk
°2 teaspoons vanilla extract
° ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
°1 cup boiling water


1-Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Spray an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray. Whisking ½ c sugar with ¼ cup cocoa powder & set apart.
2-Whisk flour, rest ½ cup sugar, rest ¼ cup cocoa, baking powder & salt in  bowl. Whisking milk, butter, egg yolk & vanilla in medium bowl to smooth. Stirring milk mixture into flour blend until only mixed . Stir in chocolate chips (batter will be firm).
3-Using a rubber spatula, scrape the batter into the prepared pan and spread it into the corners. Sprinkle reserved cocoa and sugar mixture evenly over top. Gently pour boiling water over the cocoa. Do not stir.
4- Bake until the top of the cake is cracked, the sauce is bubbly and a toothpick inserted into the area of ​​the cake comes out almost clean, about 22 to 24 minutes.  Let cool on wire rack for at least 10 minutes. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
