Jamaican banana bread

 


Some interesting ingredients take this Jamaican banana bread to a tropical place you won't want to come back from. Banana bread with an island touch.

To prepare this recipe you will need the following ingredients:


° White flour: 1 cup

° Whole wheat flour: 1 cup

° Bananas: 3 (mashed)

° eggs: 2

° Olive oil: 5/16 cup

° Liquid milk: 1/4 cup

° Baking powder: 2 teaspoons

° Salt: pinch

° Cinnamon fine: half a teaspoon

° nutmeg powder

° Raisins: 12 cups

Pine nuts: 1/2 cup

° Bittersweet chocolate chips: 1/2 cup

° Sugar: 3/4 cup

° Molasses or maple syrup: 1/4 cup


* Let's do it:

Step 1:

First, Steep pine nuts & raisins in a cup boiling water for 31 minutes or more. Now that you're ready to mix, be sure to drain the water with a strainer.


Step 2:

In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine all flours, salt, baking powder, spices, and sugar together, and mix until all dry ingredients are combined, about 30 seconds.


Step 3:

You can then choose a small bowl and put in the eggs, oil, grape molasses or maple syrup, milk, and mashed bananas. You'll want to add this mixture to the dry mixture in the electric mixer, and blend until well combined. Immediately add the drained raisins, pine nuts, and chocolate chips.

The fourth step:

Once done, pour the mixture into a tray lined with parchment paper. Please put the tray in a preheated oven at 180°C for 44 to 55 minutes. Next, place a grill stick in the middle of the cake.
