Cheesy Baked Goulash

 


When you want an easier dinner recipe that will please whole family, try some old-fashioned goulash! Everyone loves this mixture of pasta, ground beef, tomatoes, cheese and spices!

This Easy Goulash recipe is full of flavor and the perfect way to feed an audience because it makes a huge boost! A simple skillet dinner with tomatoes, beef, and pasta in a spicy tomato sauce creates the perfect comfort food on a budget!

Goulash is a soup or stew of meat, usually seasoned with paprika and other spices. Originating in medieval Hungary, goulash is a popular meal eaten mostly in Central Europe but also in other parts of Europe.

We make goulash for dinner all the time, and while I'm sure we have a very American version of the recipe, we wanted to make sure to share the recipe for beef goulash with you today - because it's delicious! 🙂

A classic dinner recipe that everyone loves. Filled with meat, cheese, spices, and pasta, this recipe is sure to become as beloved as Beef Stroganoff and Pot Roast.


* Ingredients :

° 1 pound minced meat
° 2/3 cup chopped onion
° Ground black pepper to taste
° 2 teaspoons minced garlic
° 1 cup dry pasta
° 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce (or 2 8-0 small cans)
° 1 jar homemade canned tomatoes, diced, or 1 can low-sodium diced
° 1 teaspoon soy sauce
° 1 teaspoon sugar
° 1 tsp dry oregano
° 2 tsp dry basil
° 1 tsp dry parsley
° 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
° 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

* Directions :

Preheaat oven to 350 degrees & put a pot of water on the fire until it boils for the pasta. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the burgers and chopped onions, then brush with a handful of black pepper. Cook until beef turns brown and onions are translucent. In the last minute or so, add the minced garlic. Straiin out any fat if obligatory .

When the water boils for the pasta, add the pasta and simmer until just before done, then drain and set aside. It will cook more in the oven. Meanwhile, add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, and herbs to the ground beef and stir well.

Nextly adding cheddar cheese (or maybe parsley if you forgot) and mix until the cheese melts. Stir in the cooked pasta until blended.

Pour into a 2-liter casserole dish sprayed with oil. Top with mozzarella cheese and bake for 30 minutes.
Let it rest for 5 minutes, then serve with buttered bread and salad if you like.
