Honey BAKED HAM recipe

Tender pork is cooked with butter and honey, then tossed with a sticky, smoky glaze and grilled until you get a wonderful sugary crust!

 Two of our favorite Easter recipes are butter-honey toasted carrots and broccoli salad.

In our family, we've always had a big slice of holiday bacon ... .. but even with that price cut, they were still too expensive!

* Ingredients

° 8 lb spiral cut into half pork
° 2 tablespoons melted butter
° 3 tablespoons of honey
° 1/2 cup granulated sugar
° Half a teaspoon of spiced salt
° Half a teaspoon of onion powder
° 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
° 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
° A quarter of a teaspoon of ground ginger
° A quarter of a small spoon of ground cloves
° A quarter of a teaspoon of paprika
° Half a grain of spices

* Instructions :

Trim the pork if needed, then place it in a slow saucepan. Mix the melted butter with honey, then rub it over the pork, and roll a little between the slices. Cover and cook for 4-5 hours.

At the end of the cooking time, preheat the grill to a high temperature, and line the roasting pan with heavy-duty aluminum foil.

Mix sugar also salt & onion powder, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger, ground cloves, paprika & spices in a small bowl. Put half of the sugar mixture over the top of the ham.
Roast for several minutes, until bubbles and caramelize, then remove from the oven.

To a small saucepan, add the remaining sugar mixture. Add 3 tablespoons of water or pork juices from the bottom of the slow cooker. A mixture of water / pork juice and bourbon is a good alternative! Stir, and heat until it boils. Bring to a boil for about a minute, then remove from heat.

Brush or pour the glaze over the pork, then grill it again for a minute or two (be careful ... taking it out of oven also let it rest for 5-11 min .

Serve warm or cold and enjoy!

Enjoy !
