sweet corn bread. And an easy peanut butter biscuit for dessert.

Ingredients for Wendy's Chili Recipe :
+Ground
beef - brown and drained. We usually use something that's less fat because it
drains, but you can use whatever you like (or what's on sale!).
+Sweet
yellow onion - rough sliced, no fancy because it will boil for a long time!
+Green
Pepper - We use green pepper, not hot pepper. Remove the seeds and pulp, then
roughly chop them.
+Celery
- Peel off the leafy top and chop the rough stalk.
+Garlic
- Fresh garlic gives you the best flavor, but feel free to use pre-chopped
garlic in a jar if you don't have any fresh garlic available.
+Ranch
Style Beans - Don't Drain! You can get them at Amazon or at the grocery store,
usually near baked beans.
+Dark
Red Beans - Go ahead and drain them, as they're not seasoned. We typically use
two 15-ounce cans of beans, but if you can find 30-ounce cans, these work, too.
If canister sizes are slightly higher or lower than required, this is not a
problem.
The
original Rotel chopped tomatoes and green peppers - some grocery stores carry a
generic trademark; this is very good!
+Stewed
Tomatoes - You can use fresh tomatoes if you prefer, but we love using canned
tomatoes.
+Tomato
sauce - neither spaghetti sauce nor tomato juice! Tomato sauce is a regular
sauce made from tomatoes and found in the canned tomato section.
+McCormick
Chili Seasoning - This is definitely my favorite spice! It is available in most
markets and also on Amazon.
